In recent years, environmental concerns have led to a significant increase in the number and scope of compliance imperatives across all global regulatory environments.

 
 

secondary containment structures

The secondary containment holding the petroleum tanks was insufficient to contain the volume of the largest tank located within the containment. According to the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) best management practices, the secondary containment structure should hold 110% of the volume of the largest tank within the containment. It was imperative for the site to increase the containment structure size to reduce the chances of a spill.

 

Industrial storm water permitting and analytical reporting

The facility discharges storm water associated with industrial activity and was thus required to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) and annual analytical reporting to the EPD.

 

Scrap tire processing permit

The facility received a Notice of Violation (NOV) from the state environmental regulatory agency for lacking a permit to process scrap automobile tires.
