air permitting

Due to the potential CO and NOX emissions, the facility was required by the EPD’s Air Protection Branch to complete and submit the proper air permitting forms, pertaining to dryer emissions, to stay in compliance.


combustible dust

Due to high concentration of combustible dust, the facility was out of compliance with the EPA’s National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations. If enough grain dust accumulation had occurred, site personnel would have been at risk of a combustion incident.
